Band

The Rossford High School Band has continued to extend their performance opportunities into the adjudicated realm in recent years. Rossford bands offer Marching Band, Concert Band, Solo and Ensemble, Honors Bands and Jazz Band to all Rossford students. The band continues to travel to many locations across the United States and has performed in various locations including the United States Capitol Building, The Alabama Theatre and on the Aircraft Carrier of the Intrepid in New York City. This spring, the Rossford Band will travel to Washington D.C.

Mr. Justin Kelley is in his eleventh year directing the Rossford High School and Junior High School Bands. Prior to his appointment as Director of Bands at Rossford, Mr. Kelley attended the University of Toledo where he earned his undergraduate degree in Education with an emphasis on Music and Jazz. In 2020 Mr. Kelley earned his Master of Fine Arts in Music Education from Boston University.  Justin Kelley has an extensive background in Drum and Bugle Corps., both performing and teaching, including marching for the Blue Stars out of La Crosse, WI and the Madison Scouts out of Madison, WI. Mr. Kelley was named the 2020 Toledo Symphony Orchestra “Outstanding Music Educator of the Year” and in 2023 he was presented with the “Patricia Gladieux Employee of the Year Award” for the Rossford School District. Mr. Kelley is an active member of the Ohio Music Education Association as a participant director and adjudicator. With his bands regularly receiving Superior Rating and qualifying for State Finals. Justin currently resides in Sylvania, OH with his wife Emily.
