Rossford School District Offers Free-of-Charge Substitute Teacher In-service

Do you possess a non-educational Bachelor’s degree and have an interest in becoming a substitute teacher?  The Rossford School District is hosting a free in-service for those individuals interested in learning more about substitute teaching in the Rossford School District. Individuals without teaching experience, substitute teachers employed by area school districts, and current Rossford School District substitute teachers who have not attended a previous session are invited to attend.

Updates to Transportation Plan

As we eagerly watch our new elementary school rise out of the ground off of State Route 795 and see crews prepare the downtown campus we are developing a plan to utilize our temporary Rossford High School and Rossford Junior High School spaces. As you know, Rossford High School will be housed at Owens Community College, and Rossford Junior High School students will occupy Indian Hills. This will be for the upcoming school year, and first semester of the 2019-2020 school year with our new downtown campus anticipated opening in January 2020.  More +

James Rossler Jr. elected to serve as chair of SERS Board of Trustees

The School Employees Retirement System of Ohio Board of Trustees elected appointed member James Rossler Jr. as Chair of the board. This is Mr. Rossler’s third time serving as the chair of the board. The Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives and the President of the Ohio Senate reappointed Mr. Rossler in 2016 to the SERS Board. More +

Changes to Rossford Schools Administration

Megan Spangler will be replacing the retiring Jason Smith at Curriculum Director. Eagle Point Principal Jeff Taylor will take over as principal of Glenwood Elementary and Eagle Point Elementary. Mark Swavel was hired as Assistant Principal of Glenwood Elementary.   More +

Rossford Schools honors WWII Veteran

Edward Nycz left Rossford High School to enlist in the United States Marine Corps on Oct. 2, 1942 to serve his country during World War II. He returned to Rossford after the war, but never received his RHS diploma after leaving for war. During the City of Rossford Memorial Day Parade Sunday, May 27 Rossford Schools Board of Education Member Sharon Belkofer honored the Nycz family with a diploma for their father posthumously. More +
