Paperless Report Cards for Elementary Schools

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Beginning this year Rossford Schools will be transitioning to a paperless report card system for students in elementary schools. Report cards will no longer be mailed home, except for the final report card of the year at the end of May. Parents can access and review their child’s report card online via the district’s PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Rossford Schools has been moving to paperless report cards for several years. The high school and junior high school already went paperless. If a hard copy of the report card is required, then contact your child’s school. Parents can still check for the latest, most up-to-date grades via PowerSchool online or through the PowerSchool app. PowerSchool has already been available for elementary parents since 2011.

The parent portal provides real-time grades and attendance information immediately when entered into PowerSchool. Parents no longer need to worry about missing or misplacing their child’s report card as all of the information will be available on their individual parent portal account throughout the year.

Standards grading is used both at Glenwood and Eagle Point. Parents can drill down to individual standards grades by clicking on the standards tab.

In addition to grades, the district’s Parent Portal provides parents with detailed access to back to school forms, student attendance, assignments, grades, and scheduling. This shift gives parents the ability to stay informed about their child’s educational program unlike ever before. If you have not yet created a Parent Portal account, please be sure to do so. You can email our Technology Director Sandy Smith at [email protected] if you are in need of a PowerSchool account.

Sincerely,

Jeff Taylor

Elementary Principal
