The following criteria are used to determine those who teach or demonstrate genuine characteristics beyond what is required in their daily duties to a degree of being outstanding and showing unselfish devotion to job-students-community: Concern, Enthusiasm, Moral Character, Charity, Positive Attitude and Patriotism.

Kim Linenkugel is beginning her 32 year teaching and she was honored as this year's certified recipient of the Patricia Gladieux Employee-of-the-Year Award. While she teaches, helps the WEB organization to aid sixth graders, and is junior high athletic director her nomination letters showed her care, compassion, and character demonstrated to the community.

"The enthusiasm and positive attitude that she brings to her classroom not only provides a learning environment where students are successful, but forces her students to excel by following her example of hard work and not taking the easy route to success," her nomination letter said.

Sarah Jarosz, cleaner at Rossford High School, is this year's classified recipient of the award. Over her 16 years with the district she has demonstrated hard work and kindness to all of our students and staff.

"Sarah's greatest asset to our district though is her kindness," her nomination letter said. "She watches the students at the Junior High like a hawk when they are in the hallways to make sure they are safe, but she also has a ready smile and kind word to those kids who need one. Sarah goes out of her way to be kind to the staff as well."

Congratulations to both 2018 Gladieux Award winners!
