From: Julie Kalisik, Food Service Supervisor

Welcome to another school year.   I would like to inform you of a few changes that have been made in food service.

First, the free and reduced applications are now available on-line. You may access the application at www.LunchApplication.com. If you don’t have access to a computer or web services, but would still like to fill in an on-line application; we will hold an open lab at the High School. The lab will be held August 18, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. in room 331. Paper applications are still available in all the buildings.

Fee waivers this year are included on the paper application. At present there is not a space on the web application. If you fill in a web application, please send an email to jkalisik@rossfordschools.org or a written note to Julie Kalisik at the High School giving food service permission to use your application for fee waivers.

Fresh fruit will be offered daily in all the cafeterias. Your student will have a choice between the fruit on the menu or fresh fruit. We will also offer whole grain breads. You may not see these items on the menu, but they will be there.

The elementary salads and peanut butter sandwiches will now be a meal of their own and will be offered daily.

Elementary parents, please send all cash and checks in an envelope. Address the envelope to food service and write your child’s name and the teacher’s name on it. It is best if this money is handed in early in the morning either to the cafeteria or the student’s teacher. Please consider placing money on your child’s account. This helps the lines move faster at lunch time. It also helps prevent charges. You may call food service at any time to get your student balance. Please dial 419-661-2832 and ask for Julie. Remember students are only allowed 2 charges or a total of $5.00 and then they will be given a peanut butter or bologna sandwich.

Money applied on-line will not be applied to the account until after 1:30 p.m. each day so that it does not slow down the computers during lunch service.
