Mr. Taylor begins his 3rd year at Eagle Point

By Jeff Taylor

Last year was the completion of my 2nd year in Rossford Schools and I had a fantastic year as the principal of Eagle Point School.  Before coming to Rossford, I had six years of administrative experience from Toledo Public Schools.  I was the principal of East Broadway Middle School for one year and Ottawa River Elementary School for five years.  I was also the asst. principal at Spring Elementary for one year.   Prior to becoming an administrator I taught sixth grade at Pickett Elementary School for eight years.

I grew up in Oregon, Ohio and attended Clay High School.  I attended the University of Toledo and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1993.  I completed my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision in 2003.  Shortly after that I completed the course work to gain my Superintendent’s license from the University of Findlay.

Now the fun stuff; I have a very supportive and involved family.  My wife Michelle, and children Jackson (13), Kennedy (9), and Madison (6) are brought to many of the schools events and they are looking forward to  continue making friends at Eagle Point.  They all love to go roller skating, dancing, attending the RHS football/basketball games, and watching movies while eating popcorn.  Be sure to watch for them at open house and other Eagle Point events.  I coach most of their baseball, softball, basketball and soccer teams as my second job after school. Aside from my family my other love is fishing.  I look forward to my annual fishing trips to Canada and enjoy spending time outdoors.  If you have any good fish stories, I’d love to hear them.

Lastly, I wanted to make sure to tell all of my fellow Maize and Blue fans to get excited because this year is a new beginning; the year the Wolverines beat the Bucks and chant “GO BLUE” until they fall asleep after eating turkey on Thanksgiving!!  For all of the OSU fans out there I wanted to ask you one favor after the game……please don’t cry!

GO BLUE!
