Vocal Music Program Bio

Rossford’s vocal music program consists of three different choruses, involving over 125 students in grades 7 – 12. The choirs perform throughout the year in a variety of venues, including Lights Before Christmas, the annual Arts Festival, three concerts hosted in the Rossford auditorium and send participants to Honor Choir and OMEA. The groups look forward to continued growth over the next few year!

Performance Dates

Fall Concert – October 16, 2017 at 7:30 pm – 8th grade, Mixed Glee and Varsity

Elementary Tour – December 15, 2017, all day – Mixed Glee and Varsity

Lights Before Christmas - TBD

Holiday Concert – December 20, 2017 at 6:30 pm – 7th grade and 8th grade

          Sr. High - December 20, 2017 at 8:00 pm – Mixed Glee and Varsity

Varsity Choir Auditions – January 4 &5 in AI

Honors Choir – February 2018 (dates not announced yet)

Arts Night – April (TBD) – 8th grade, Mixed Glee, Varsity

Baccalaureate – May (TBD) – Mixed Glee, Varsity

Spring Concert – May 21, 2018 at 8:00 pm – 8th grade, Mixed Glee, and Varsity    

Graduation – June 1, 2018 – Mixed Glee and Varsity

Please mark your calendars as you are required to attend. If you miss the concert due to an excused absence, you will be required to make it up for the director in a way of her choosing. Failure to make it up will result in your grade being lowered by two letters.

Performance Attire - Varsity

Choir robes will be worn. Under your choir robes:

Ladies: Skirt or dress pants (no leggings or jeans) and blouse/sweater or a dress, dress shoes

Gentlemen: Black dress pants, collared shirt or sweater, black socks, dress shoes

Performance Attire – Mixed Glee

Ladies: Black skirt or dress pants (no leggings or black jeans) and black blouse/sweater or a black dress, dress shoes

Gentlemen: Black dress pants, white or black collared shirt, black socks, dress shoes

Performance Attire – 8th grade Chorus

Ladies: Black skirt or dress pants (no leggings or black jeans) and 8th grade polo, dress shoes

Gentlemen: Black dress pants, 8th grade polo, dress shoes

Performance Attire – 7th grade

Ladies: Dress or skirt and blouse/shirt or dress pants (no leggings) and blouse/shirt, dress shoes

Gentlemen: Dress pants (Dockers or nicer), dress shirt (Button down or polo), dress shoes

Director Bio

Jessica WitulskiMrs. Jessica Witulski joins the staff of Rossford for the first time in the 2017-2018 school year. Prior to her appointment, Mrs. Witulski taught high school vocal music and theater for ten years in New York State. Mrs. Witulski holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam in Potsdam, New York. In her ten years of teaching, she has directed over 20 theatrical productions and founded the Williamson Summer Theater programs for students in grades K-12. Mrs. Witulski currently resides in Bowling Green with her husband and two daughters.
