Rossford High School Adds Three Members to Athletic Hall of Fame
Rossford High School is inducting three new members to its Athletic Hall of Fame during the Oct. 4 football game against Genoa.

Mike Kornasiewicz of the RHS Class of 1985, Rachael (Clay) Waltz of the RHS Class of 2008, and Adam Whitlatch of the RHS Class of 1994 are this year’s inductees. These standout athletes will be announced before the 7 p.m. game at Jackson-Ferguson Stadium Friday.

Mr. Kornasiewicz was a leader on the diamond for the Bulldogs during his high school career. His junior season Mike led the team with a .448 batting average (.536 in NLL play) and an 8-1 pitching record (6-0 NLL) with a 2.68 earned run average. He led Rossford to an NLL Championship. Mike still holds several school records including home runs, triples and RBIs both over his career and single season. He also holds pitching career wins and appearances record.

Mrs. Waltz lettered in both tennis and track and field each of her four years at RHS. While dominating on the track, Rachael also graduated fourth in her class, was a member of the National Honor Society, and was on Student Government. She was a 2008 State Runner Up in the 400 meters. She still holds the 400m NLL record while winning the 2008 league title. She went on to run at Miami University from 2009-2012 and was All-MAC each of her four years with the Redhawks.

Mr. Whitlatch finished a terrific career on the mat with an undefeated regular season his senior year. He finished with 106 match wins while at RHS and was a state qualifier. He won his weight class in the NLL twice, won districts his senior year and several invitational tournaments along the way. He went on to wrestle and then coach wrestling at the college level. Adam finished second in the MAC and became an NCAA National Qualifier.

We congratulate these three wonderful athletes for their tremendous performances at Rossford High School.
