John Tooson to be inducted to Hall of Fame

John F. Tooson IV, Class of 1984, will be inducted into the Rossford High School Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday as Rossford hosts Woodmore in basketball at 7:30 p.m. He will be honored during halftime on the court.

John F. Tooson IV is the son of John F. Tooson III and Arenthia Tooson. John currently resides in Rossford, Ohio with his beautiful wife of 33 years, Yves and with his daughter Chassidy and sons John and Christopher. 

John played on the varsity basketball team during the 1982, 1983 and 1984 seasons. He was named the Northern Lakes League Most Valuable Player in 1984. He led the league in scoring, averaging 22.5 points per game. He also led the league in the 1984 season in rebounding at 12.2 points per game. John was named District 7 Player of the Year. He finished his high school career being named Honorable Mention All Ohio. 

He also ran track his junior year and played football his freshman year. He is proud to join his family in the Rossford Athletic Hall of Fame: Decatur Durden, Roye Durden, Lazelle Durden, Emanuel Durden, Jason Durden, and LaMonica Durden. John received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Findlay in 1998. 

Mr. Tooson served in the United States Army. John is the Principal/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for PGN Consulting with over 30 years of experience in Business Consulting, Health Insurance Strategies, Executive Coaching and Marketing Strategies. His business acumen is acquired by working with some of the world’s most respected companies including Johns Manville, Tenneco, Campbell Soup, Nissan, Walmart, Lear Corporation and GM Powertrain.
