Free Meals beginning Oct. 1

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has recently announced that all school districts can offer FREE breakfast and lunch meals to ALL students each school day. Rossford Schools will start the free meal program on Thursday, October 1, 2020. The meal program is covered through USDA funds allocated due to the pandemic. This meal program will continue through December 31, 2020, or while the USDA funds are available. Please note that ala carte milk and snacks are not included in this free meal plan.

Families should still complete the 2020-2021 free and reduced application. An approved application allows families to continue with the benefits after the all District program ends. It also qualifies families for an educational fee waiver.

We have also applied for the Summer Seamless Option, which has been extended during the pandemic. This will allow us to feed our students for days students are remote learning.

Beginning Monday, October 5, 2020, We will offer three lunch and three breakfast meals to any child age 1-18. These meals are free-of-charge for all students. Meals are being offered at two locations and times for your convenience. They can be picked up on Mondays at Rossford Elementary School from noon to 1 p.m. in the bus loop or Rossford Jr-Sr High from 5 to 6 p.m. in the bus loop. This will be a drive-through service at both locations. Please remain in your car.

To reserve a meal for guaranteed availability, please contact Food Service at 419-661-2832 prior to Friday, October 2, 2020. All children are eligible. Reservations allow us to plan for how many meals we need and prepackage large family orders for a quicker pickup.
