Rossford Schools Honored for 3Rs

Rossford Schools recently received accolades for its Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Team by the Ohio Department of Education. Rossford Elementary School received a Gold Recognition in the 2023 Ohio PBIS Showcase and Rossford Jr-Sr High School received a Bronze accolade.
Each school regularly teaches the 3R behaviors of being Respectful, Responsible and Ready. At Rossford Elementary students demonstrating those behaviors are rewarded through receiving Class Dojo points, weekly class rewards, monthly 100 Point Club prizes and MEGA events each quarter. At Rossford Junior-Senior High, students who demonstrate those behaviors are rewarded through PBIS Rewards points and quarterly rewards. Both the elementary and secondary PBIS teams meet regularly to review school behavior data and increase support where it is necessary.
We are tremendously proud of our schools for this accomplishment. This is the first time either school has applied for this. Great job to our PBIS teams, staff, students and parents for helping reinforce the 3 Rs of being Respectful, Responsible and Ready!

In this week's Rossford Schools Podcast, Rossford Elementary School Psychologist Rebecca Fetters joins to discuss what PBIS is, how it is utilized, and how it helps our students. We also listen to our Varsity Choir, share news and notes which includes a BCSN clip about senior Brody Nusbaum.
