We are excited to provide access to our new multi-use facility, ‘The R’, to school district residents beginning on January 8, 2024. Upon application approval, adults who live within the school district will be able to use the three-lane indoor track and cardio equipment in the fieldhouse portion of The R from 6:45 to 8:45 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. This area will be accessed by a key fob at the fieldhouse door (labeled 1B) to the right of the main entrance to The R. It is important to note, during holidays or in the event of a school delay or cancellation due to calamity, The R will not be available.
School district residents who wish to access the facility can stop by the Board Office, at 701 Superior Street in Rossford, beginning December 4 through December 21 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to fill out an application. Additional times will be available in the new year.
The application process will include verification of residency within the Rossford School district (valid driver’s license or state-issued identification) and a screening through the Raptor Visitors Management System. Residents will also be required to review and sign guidelines for use before being assigned a key fob for entry during the designated times. Entry will not be permitted until successful completion of this process.
Key rules need to be followed to help keep the facility clean and safe for all to utilize. The primary use of this facility is for our students so these guidelines are put into place in their best interest as well as the safety and security for all involved. Pets are not permitted into The R, and no food or drink (other than water) is permitted during these hours. This public use is restricted to adults who have successfully completed the application process; no guests or minors are permitted during these times. Lastly, a restroom and water bottle filler are available for use in this space should they be needed.
We are happy to be able to provide this great resource to our community. Thank you for helping us keep The R clean and safe for years to come.
