The Rossford Schools Board of Education seeks applicants to fill the unexpired term of board member Sharon Belkofer, who is resigning Feb. 18.
The board will begin interviewing candidates soon and must name a replacement within 30 days of the resignation. The application deadline is Feb. 28. The newly appointed member will serve until Dec. 31, 2023. If the appointed member desires to continue serving, he or she must run in the next general election.
Mrs. Belkofer began serving on the board in 2016. She is stepping down due to health circumstances. She was part of the board that brought new facilities to all of our students K-12.
“We are grateful for Sharon’s dedication and service to our children,” Superintendent Dan Creps said. “We know she will continue to be a Bulldog supporter and we will see her around.”
According to Ohio law, people serving on Ohio school boards must be at least 18 years old, district residents and registered voters.
