Adjusted lunch guidelines

Dear Rossford Schools Community, After the release of new USDA guidelines and careful review of our policy and procedures with our food service program we want to share adjustments being made as a result. In the past we provided ‘emergency meals’ for students who surpassed the district determined charge limit. The USDA advised against this practice, and recommends reimbursed lunches are provided instead. This has no effect for students who qualify for free lunches. Updating District Transportation Guidelines

Dear Rossford Schools Parents/Guardians, We are updating our transportation forms and guidelines, which you will find attached.  These revisions will assist parents and school personnel with advanced planning and will help account for how our students are transported to and from home safely. Great Job at States!

We are so proud of Karagyn Durco, Kaitlyn Clark, Regan Clay, and Ireland Hutchins who all competed in the Division II State Track Meet this past weekend. Clay won her third 400 State Championship on Saturday. Clark took eighth place in the same race making All-Ohio and to the 400 podium. We're so proud of our entire track team. $3,538 of books given away to students for free during Right to Read Week

Every building, every grade, and every student in Rossford Schools had one main goal from the week of May 15-19: READ. It was Right to Read Week in the district and local authors were brought in to speak to the students, set times were given to students during the day to read, and books were even given out to further encourage reading. Athletic participation forms are all now available online

The Rossford Schools Athletic Department has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms collects, organizes, and updates our athletic participation forms easily online. FinalForms will save data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice. You will have to review your information once per school year to verify information is current and sign the forms. Update on Transition Plan Provided During the May 15 Board Meeting

The Rossford Board of Education provided an update on the transition space for Rossford High School at its May 15 Regular meeting. Rossford High School will be temporarily relocated to Owens Community College from August 2018 until December 2019, in order to accommodate our students during the renovation and construction of the downtown campus. Our construction manager and architect’s ultimate goal is to have all construction completed by January 2020. This temporary move is a necessity during construction.
