At its regular meeting on April 25, 2016, the Rossford Board of Education approved the revised 2015-2016 school year calendar. The changes to the calendar affect the last day of school for students and teaching staff. The last day for students will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016. May 2016 Dear School Community Members: At the April Board of Education meeting, the Board adopted an open enrollment policy. This policy was brought forward for Board consideration as our district faces funding challenges that occur, as a result of our declining student enrollment. This policy was adopted after careful research, discussion and deliberation. The declining enrollment has been gradually occurring over the past several years, demonstrated by a peak for student enrollment at just under 2,200 students in 1999 to our current enrollment of approximately 1,700. On April 20, 2016, National Merit Scholarship Corporation released the names of the first group of winners in the 61 st annual National Merit Scholarship Program, and Rossford High School senior Savannah McIntosh was selected as a recipient. The competition for the scholarships began last spring when approximately 1.5 million juniors in some 22,000 high schools across the county entered the contest when they took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Rossford Exempted Village School District officials are excited to announce an online student registration/data validation system for the 2016-2017 school year, powered by InfoSnap. The system is a secure and green process, which allows district officials to verify all student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the new school year. The system will also allow you to electronically sign the annual permission forms for school district policies. A recent financial audit of the Rossford Exempted Village School District (REVSD) by the Auditor of State’s office has returned a clean audit report. Rossford EVSD’s excellent record keeping has earned it the Auditor of State Award.
