I am so excited for another great year in Rossford Schools. This year will begin my 13th year as a Principal in Rossford. It will

be our second year in our beautiful new building! Before coming to Rossford, I had six years of administrative experience from Toledo Public Schools. Prior to becoming an administrator I taught sixth grade at Pickett Elementary School for eight years. I grew up in Oregon, Ohio and attended Clay High School. I started working with children when I was in high school and worked for the recreation department. I helped coach tee ball and soccer during the summer and worked at several camps. I was a cabin leader during high school and always enjoyed working with children. From a young age, I could tell that it was my calling to be a teacher.
After high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps and served for six years in an infantry unit. I attended the University of Toledo and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1993. I completed my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision in 2003. Shortly after that I completed the course work to gain my Superintendent’s license from the University of Findlay.
I have a very supportive and involved family. My wife Michelle, and children Jackson (23), Kennedy (19), and Madison (16) try to attend school events and volunteer their time. They really enjoy the annual Halloween parade and seeing the streets lined with kids. I am an avid sports fan and I’ve coached many teams for my children. I still enjoy shooting baskets and staying active. Aside from my family, my other love is fishing. I enjoy fishing for bass, pike, musky, walleye and perch. I look forward to my annual fishing trips to Canada and enjoy spending time outdoors. If you have any good fish stories, I’d love to hear them.
This is going to be another great year and I look forward to meeting all of the students! Oh, by the way, GO BLUE!
